FEED NIGERIA HELP THE GOVERNMENT By Rebecca Thompson
Christian experts expressing their concerns about the hardship of Nigeria after their crucial meeting held recently in Lagos State, Nigeria, said that the church is capable of solving some problems of the nation.
The chairman of the forum Prof. Ebitimi Weigha called on all church leaders and wealthy Christians to do something to eliminate hunger and poverty in Nigeria.
PROFESSOR WEIGHA
Prof. Kunle Macaulay, a well known Christian leader and a popular theologian confirmed the need for the church and Christians in particular to prove the uniqueness of God by healing and feeding the nation as Jesus went about feeding and healing those who were sick. Prof. Kunle Macaulay said, Nigeria is sick and hungry and the church cannot deny its ability to heal and feed the nation at this particular time.

COMMUNIQUE
The Christian experts with respect to human situations in Nigeria demand that:
● The church and wealthy Christians should without any delay organize distribution of foods in all communities where churches are planted.
● Church leaders should work with community leaders where churches are planted to reduce and eliminate kidnapping, banditry, terrorism and social evils.
● Churches should provide affordable quality education and good health facilities for Nigerians.
● Government should warn people from creating volatile situations that can create religious violence in any part of the nation.
We prayerfully look forward to a united church where Jesus will be glorified and Nigeria, our nation for a peaceful co-existence.
Thank you.
