Asuu Strike made me find my true purpose: Miracle Elijah fast rising Model
Ola Entertainment Blog linked up with Miracle Elijah and this is what she had to say about how ASUU propelled her to move an inch towards her career
Ola Entertainment Blog: Good evening.
Elijah Miracle: Good evening
Ola Entertainment Blog: Can we meet you?. Your name and background ma.
Elijah Miracle: I'm Elijah Miracle Chinazaekpere. 18yrs old ( would be 19 by November though 😉).
I hail from Amorji Imenyi Autonomous community in the Bende LGA in Abia state.
Ola Entertainment Blog: Educational background?
Elijah Miracle: I'm an undergraduate of the University of Portharcourt, Rivers state.
Sorry I totally forgot about that, ( probably because of the strike).
Ola Entertainment Blog: Coming to that how has the strike affected your studies. Don't you feel uncomfortable sitting at home and waiting for wishes that won't come true ?
Elijah Miracle: I definitely do feel uncomfortable about that, but I'm glad I ain't wasting my time just sitting doing nothing at home. I've been at home for a year already, if the strike wasn't on, I probably would be rounding up with 200 level already. But it's all good ☺️.
Ola Entertainment Blog: You said you have not been wasting your time. What have you been doing?
Elijah Miracle: Well apart from schooling and modelling, I'm an hair stylist and an aspiring fashion designer. I've been trying to master my sewing skills all this while, as well as to do as many hairdos as I can for my customers while getting booked for shoots and runway walks.
Ola Entertainment Blog: Of all the side hustles you mentioned, which one are you comfortable doing the most?
Elijah Miracle: Fashion designing. Although I was the one who insisted on learning hairstyling as a skill in secondary school. I recently came to the realization that no matter how good I am at it,I am not even close to be comfortable as I am with fashion designing. I don't have any regrets though. I'm still very glad I got to master that as a skill.
I know you must have been expecting me to say getting booked for shoots and runway jobs is more comfortable than hairstyling and fashion designing, but because that isn't a side hustle but a full-time career, it doesn't answer your question.
Ola Entertainment Blog: Sure I was expecting you to say that. Is it modeling you are studying in school and why did you choose it as a career job?.
Elijah Miracle: Well it's true that I am not studying fashion or anything related to modeling in school, it's something I'm grooming myself to be a part of in the future.
Secondly, what I'm studying in school is not what I have always wanted as a career path, so I am not walking in that path. I chose modeling as a career, because I'm passionate about it. It's not just about the monetary aspect, but the joy and satisfaction that comes with it. I’m sure as hell I would want that to be a part of me till I am ready to resign. Funny, I know.
Ola Entertainment Blog: Do you have any role model in the modeling industry?
Elijah Miracle: Yes,I do.
Naomi Campbell and Adut Akech Bior. These two ladies are strong source of inspiration to me. Whenever I look them up on their social media page, I'm rejuvenated in my spirit and have this strong feeling that I can be who I want to be and more.
Ola Entertainment Blog: Where do you see yourself in the next 4 years?
Elijah Miracle: In the next 4 years, I see myself walking the international runways, working with big brands and of course growing my own brand.
I want to be a source of inspiration to young girls out there and also help them take a great step in becoming better versions of themselves.
Ola Entertainment Blog: Are you an ambassador to any company or brand?
Elijah Miracle: No.
Not yet.
Ola Entertainment Blog: How do you combine school with modeling and your side hustle?
Elijah Miracle:Well to be honest, I just started modeling around March 2022,and that was after my school went on strike. I haven't been able to combine schooling with modeling but look forward to that.
Ola Entertainment Blog: What are your motivations in life?
Elijah Miracle:Firstly, my FAMILY!!!
I came from a very poor home where I didn't get to enjoy what kids my age normally should have enjoyed even in the middle class. I want to change that statement.
Somedays when I wake up and get hit with hunger, because I couldn't eat dinner the previous night I just shake my head and say to myself that this would only last for a while. I want to be able to make my parents happy, fly them round the world and provide for my younger siblings whatever it is I know they need as kids that I didn't get.
The society at large motivates me too.
In all, I just want to be able to provide the little I can for those who are differently privileged.
Ola Entertainment Blog: What is your advice to the upcoming generations threading the path of modeling.
Elijah Miracle: Just be yourself. Be consistent, try to learn new things everyday.
Believe in yourself. You are nothing less than who you are.
The sky shouldn’t be anyone’s limit not even the universe.
You can do it!!!
Ola Entertainment Blog: Thank you so much for your time.
