Ola Entertainment Blog: Apart from Nursing, what other things do you do?
Solola Jacob: I'm also into music production.
Ola Entertainment Blog: What led you into music production?
Solola Jacob: It started from when I was a kid, I play the drums at my church, then when my church got a drum set, there was nobody to play it. I go to church during the weekends since there wasn't anybody in church to practice drumming.
On one Sunday, I decided to play the drums, the members were surprised because I was so short that my leg could barely touch the pedal but I did well I think, because I was also given gifts by the church members and the pastor.
Fast forward to secondary school, I played the drums too, I also dance. Whenever we're having dance classes we would want to mix different songs together and it's really difficult to get someone to do that. So I decided to learn disc jockey. By that time, I was already in the nursing school. I also did well with disc jockey. I played in couple of birthday parties and some other small indoor parties. As at that,we only had 3 weeks break in a year as regards to our school schedules. It really was difficult for me to go to play in parties
Out of curiosity, I wanted to know how songs were made. The beat, the recording process, and all, I started making my findings. All the music studios I found were far away from my school, so I decided to go on the Internet, I found couple of applications and I started learning beat making with my phone. I had a tablet then. With the help of YouTube and practice, I started getting better, I could remember I was always on headphones, when I had any break in school I was always on my tablet trying to make a beat.
I later met a friend, his name is swynk (he's also a producer). We started working and practicing together, then I got a laptop and started remaking beats, and then I started making my own beats when I was confident enough.
Here I am today, what led me into music production is my curiosity, and also my love for dance and music. I wanted to make my own version of music and remixes, which also triggered me into music production.

Ola Entertainment Blog: Where do you see yourself soon?
Solola Jacob: I see myself with my BSCE, and also, getting placements with big artists in the industry, both in Nigeria and internationally.
Ola Entertainment Blog: What is your most memorable moment?
Solola Jacob: I've got lot of memorable moments, but the one that happened recently was when the song I produced got posted by different celebrities, and got massive love from friends around me. The title of the song is yellow light by Lbee, I received, several messages by different people that they heard my tag on a song that's being played on a radio. I was surprised myself and told them I produced it. My tag is (its a vibe). If you hear that on any song, that means that I produced it.
Ola Entertainment Blog: What advice can you give to the youths out there?
Solola Jacob: My advice is that they should not hesistate to pursue their dreams.
They shouldn't allow the environment hinder their goal because when I started there was nobody to put me through, It was just me. I had to look for another way to learn music production by reading books, watching YouTube videos and constant practice.
Consistency makes you better in whatever you do,you just have to keep grinding.
