Ola Entertainment Blog:  Hello.... This is Ola entertainment blog.. Can we meet you??

 

Orji Precious: My name is Orji Precious Fiyinfoluwa. I come from Oguta LGA, Imo State. I go by my popular name which is also my brand name MOTIVE. I am a christian, a photographer, a guitarist and I run a couple of business.

 

Ola Entertainment Blog: Your journey into the photography world?

 

Orji Precious: I believe I have always had eyes for beauty. One time I got a slippers and wrist watch to give a friend, I hid it but my mom saw it and took them.  Months later, she said I have eyes for good things. I started photography with my phone in 2015 after secondary school on the streets of Ikeja taking landscapes and buildings. 2017 I started professional phone photography. I started editing and posting all over social media.  In 2018 I got a DLSR and begun professional photography.  So far the journey has been a wonderful one. There were times I was abused, I wasn't good enough, I'm not creative enough. Those were the woes of the society. It was a propeller to be better and put them all to shame. I have received so much accolades in recent times and my popularity grows by the day.

 

Ola Entertainment Blog: Are you a full time photographer? 

If no, what else do you do?

 

Orji Precious: I am a full time photographer with other businesses I run.

 

Ola Entertainment Blog: What motivates you?

 

Orji Precious: My parents motivate me, their relentlessness even after achieving so much. It motivates me a lot. 

People and also I do a lot of self motivation. I am not where I want to be, but I know where I want to be keeps me in the game.  Videos motive me. 

Works of those who are doing better than I am, motivates me.

 

Ola Entertainment Blog: What's your best working experience so far?

 

Orji Precious: I have had quite a number of experiences and I wouldn't place one above the other. Anything that makes me express myself, is always best for me.

 

Ola Entertainment Blog: And the most frustrating one?

 

Orji Precious: There isn't anything worthwhile without frustrations. 

The frustration helps you learn and grow. So yes, there have been frustrating ones.

 

Ola Entertainment Blog: Where do you see yourself in the next 5 to 10 years?

 

Orji Precious: I see myself touring the world and creating memories with my team. I see myself as an international recognized visual story teller. 

I see myself sort after.

 

Ola Entertainment Blog: Your advice to the youths out there?

 

Orji Precious: Don't let the societal pressure get to you, keep moving at your pace.

 

Ola Entertainment Blog: How do you combine photography and schooling?

 

Orji Precious: It's like combining the ingredients of a sandwich and you eat the end result

 

Ola Entertainment Blog: Your popular name is Motive. 

What inspired it?

 

Orji Precious: It was inspired from Motivation. I love to motivate people and make them see reasons why shooting for gold is very achievable. 

You can achieve anything.

 

Ola Entertainment Blog: According to you, you said, there were  times  you were abused. During those periods, did you ever thought of giving up?

 

Orji Precious: Never crossed my mind once. 

If you love to eat rice and you eat poorly cooked rice, will you say you wouldn't eat rice even when it is well cooked by a pro? Obviously no.  It was a motivation to prove them I could be more and I can be better.

 

Ola Entertainment Blog: Any challenges so far?

 

Orji Precious: All challenges dies down to finance. I need to get kits, gears and equipments to aid my work but they are super expensive so I have to save for a long time make most purchases.
