THE OTHER SIDE OF RAPE: THE MALE VICTIM by Cardoso Ayodeji
Reading a lot of people (men inclusive) lending their voice and up in arms against rape when it's the girl child/woman who is the victim is quite impressive.
But then, can we get same energy from these men and especially women when it's the boy child/man who is the victim? Or you don't know we have serial rapists in female skin?
As women keep talking about society shutting a female rape victim up, they shouldn't forget it is the same society that doesn't believe a male can be abused or raped by a female.
You don't want to know the stories men have and like I read on a comment thread just now, some are actually waiting for the serial female rapists to make it financially, so that when they come out to speak, the dragging can be worth it too.
For the record, Rape is not gender specific and it leaves same damaging effects on the victim irrespective of gender.
