Jose Mourinho gave a bizarre response when he answered a question about United's plans for the remainder of the transfer window.

The United manager was asked whether he plans to make any further additions to his squad following the arrivals of Fred, Lee Grant and Diogo Dalot and said he has 'no idea' if there will be more incomings at Old Trafford.

"I've no idea," Mourinho said. "I'm not going to lie to you, I'm not going to say somebody is coming or nobody is coming."

Mourinho was also surprisingly downbeat as he discussed United's pre-season preparations ahead of tomorrow's friendly against Club America.

"The pre-season is very bad," he added. "The positive thing of the pre-season is only for the young boys that have fantastic opportunity to train with us.
